Rock the Kasbah online PL Lektor bez rejestracji [2015]
Nagrodzony na Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym w Berlinie debiut fabularny izraelskiego reżysera to wstrząsające świadectwo wojny między Palestyną a Izraelem.
Rok 1989. Trwa pierwsza Intifada, palestyńskie powstanie przeciwko izraelskiej okupacji Palestyny. Izraelscy żołnierze zostają wysłani do Strefy Gazy w celu nadzorowania ludności arabskiej. Podczas rutynowego patrolu, żołnierze przemierzając miasto, zostają obrzuceni przez mieszkańców kamieniami. Jeden z żołnierzy ginie pod spadającą na niego z dachu pralką. Sprawców nie udaje się złapać. Pada rozkaz, aby czwórka młodych żołnierzy stacjonowała na dachu palestyńskiego domu do czasu znalezienia zabójców kolegi. Palestyńscy mieszkańcy, mając izraelskich żołnierzy nad głową, obawiają się posądzenia o kolaborację. Rekruci muszą odnaleźć swoje miejsce w otaczającym ich totalnym chaosie.
Przejmujący film o zmaganiu się z własnymi słabościami i niedojrzałością w obliczu wojny. Debiut fabularny zainspirowany osobistymi doświadczeniami reżysera.
W latach 90. pełniłem funkcję fotografa wojskowego, byłem wysłany do Strefy Gazy, na Brzeg Zachodni.
